Your data, explained.

Product information in preparation. Operator identity, contact details, providers, retention periods and applicable legal terms will be completed before public launch.

01

What you store in Tallyn

Registration stores your email and authentication data. Your personal workspace holds the accounts, entries, categories, plans and preferences you provide. Groups hold participants, expenses, splits and history.

02

Who sees shared information

Active group members can access group expenses, splits and attachments. They cannot access your personal accounts. Review a receipt before attaching it to a group because it may contain other information.

03

Files and drafts

CSV and PDF imports are processed in the browser; transactions are sent when confirmed. If you save a review, the document is kept in device storage. Receipts you explicitly attach are stored on the server.

04

External assistance

Sending a document to an external provider requires a configured service and your acceptance of that transfer. Manual import and text review do not require a bank connection.

05

Control over your information

Download a JSON archive, export transactions and delete receipts. Account closure removes personal application data and retains shared accounting records without a link to your user so group accounts remain understandable.

06

Browser storage

A necessary session cookie gives access to your account. Drafts and some preferences may be stored on the device. App installation only saves a public offline explanation; it does not create an offline copy of your transactions.

Your money. Your plans. Your people.
